Brown Eyed Girl

I finished my page with the beautiful ScrapMatters Collab called Vintage Surf Shop and I just love how it turned out.  I altered the image of Arabella on the beach and it turned out lovely.  Well, that’s my opinion and the only one that really matters to me, LOL!

But wait, there’s more, hehe…  The ScrapMatters Design team created another kit with the same colors called Brown Eyed Girl.  Isn’t it yummy?

Well, since I am a Browned Eyed Girl and I have a Brown Eyed Girl, I’m a  bit partial to this.  I plan on scrapping with it really soon so I’ll show you my stuff in a bit!

Take a Look at This

This summer I took the kids to the beach for the 1st time in years, so my pictures are precious from that trip.  I wanted to find some pretty and a little unusual “Beachy” kits to scrap them with.  Well, take a gander this one…

It’s a Collab called Vintage Surf Shop  and it’s from the ScrapMatters Designers so you know it’s high quality and awesome!  The colors are gorgeous and who doesn’t love that little lizard dude?  hehe… Anyway, I plan to grab it soon while it’s ON SALE and whip up a couple of pages with it… I’ll show you later.  I know I’ve been terribly slack with this little blog lately, but Back to School has been kicking my tail.  I’ll try to do better now that we are in a tiny bit of a routine :).

So, I’ve just started on the Creative Team for a really fun new designer!  Jen Balding is the name behind Girl Boy Girl Designs and just to clarify, she is not new to designing… I’m just new to her.  And I have come to ADORE her work in a very short time!  I really think you will, too.

All About Me

It’s not often I do pages about me, but this week I had the perfect excuse.  Crisdam Designs is offering a gorgeous kit called All About Me for 50% off today (Tuesday) only.  It was actually the very first kit of Isabel’s that I owned and I just love it.

Journaling:  Sometimes I feel that all of the roles I play in life are in an epic battle for my sanity. I love every aspect of my most blessed life, but there are times when I wish I could just retreat from it all for a while. But even if I could physically get away, my mind can never really find escape. I think that part of my personality is what allows me to do all that I do, but also denies me true peace. I fight against the feelings of inadequacy in each area and I pray daily for renewed strength. I know that I will be given a fresh portion each day and am thankful for that.

I also know that the pace of life will slow one day. I just wonder if my heart will then miss the chaos and reprimand my soul for not embracing it more when it was all consuming. I want no regrets, so I will take a moment to dream of solitude, then I’ll turn around and wrap my entire being around the joys that can me found in my life today.
